About the Artist:
Bri is a undergraduate at Long Beach State studying Printmaking. This is her final year. She enjoys being active and playing sports. She does yoga in her free time and snowboards, skateboards, and hiking. She moved to Long Beach from a very small town, which lead her to very much appreciate the outdoors.
Most of Bri’s work is in black and white or neutral colors. She uses lines to create images. She uses negative and positive space in her work by only using black and white. All the lines seem to be continuous and flow together very well.
The title of the exhibit, Merge, explains her work and life meshing together. How her small town roots have collided with busy Long Beach. It shows her past to the present and how her life has changed but she still appreciated her past.
This is the first exhibit I could actually see hanging in someone’s house. her work in clean and I really enjoyed it. She is diverse in the lines she chooses to use and I like her idea behind her pieces. Her past is present but not defining her.
